Channel 5 has confirmed the extension of its partnership with Piers Morgan into 2026, following the strong performance of "Piers Morgan Uncensored" since its launch on the channel in September 2025.
The agreement continues the unprecedented collaboration between a YouTube-led news brand and a linear broadcaster, with a new run of weekly episodes set to air on 5 throughout 2026.
Originally launched on YouTube in April 2022, "Piers Morgan Uncensored" is a bold, opinion-driven news and debate series hosted by Piers Morgan and distributed globally across YouTube and podcast platforms. The digital programme has surpassed 1 billion views since launch and is known for its high-profile interviews, confrontational debates and uncompromising editorial voice.
Since debuting on 5, the series has reached 4.4 million viewers and delivered a 2% year-on-year increase in audience share compared with the same slot last year.
As part of the ongoing partnership, 5 will continue to broadcast a weekly Friday evening highlights show, curating the best interviews and debates from Uncensored for the 5 audience, available both on linear television and via 5’s streaming service.
Federico Ruiz, Commissioning Editor for 5, said: “Once we got Piers on the channel, we weren’t going to let him go without a fight. Now more than ever, we need his unique brand of fearless, no-nonsense journalism. One more year of Piers… we’re ready.”
Piers Morgan added: “I’m delighted to continue working with 5 through 2026. It’s been a unique collaboration between our hugely successful global YouTube show Piers Morgan Uncensored and a fast-growing, ambitious UK TV network, and I’m thrilled that its popularity with 5 viewers has led to an extension for another year.”
