Luca Calvani turns simple ingredients into dishes that tell a story. Starting December 13, Cavoli e Merende lands on Food Network (Channel 33), airing every Saturday at 5:55 pm and available on demand on discovery+.
Set in the heart of Tuscany, just a short distance from the sea and the Apuan Alps, the series is rooted in a very real place: Casale le Gusciane, the countryside inn run by Calvani himself. Surrounded by silent woods, ancient pine trees and summer nights lit by fireflies, the casale is more than a home. It is a living stage where food, seasons and memories come together.
Actor, director and traveller, Calvani has chosen to slow down here, among the Tuscan hills. Cooking becomes his most direct form of storytelling: honest, seasonal and deeply connected to nature. Each recipe starts with everyday ingredients and grows into something personal, reflecting a life shaped by travel, creativity and a search for authenticity.
The series is produced by Casta Diva for Warner Bros. Discovery.
