Banijay Entertainment has entered into a partnership with Belgian greentech company TheGreenShot to introduce a tailored solution for carbon data reporting across its extensive production and live-events network, spanning 25 territories.
Since its launch in 2008, Banijay Entertainment has grown into a global force with more than 130 creative labels and a library exceeding 220,000 hours of premium programming, including iconic titles such as "Survivor", "Big Brother", "MasterChef", "Peaky Blinders", "Deal or No Deal", and "Black Mirror."
“In step with the major transformation taking place across the industry, Banijay Entertainment is dedicated to taking concrete measures that support the Paris Agreement,” said Edouard Minc, ESG Director at Banijay Entertainment. “Our main challenge now is establishing a unified system across all territories to lower the environmental impact of our operations while supplying clients and partners with reliable data on our decarbonisation progress. This requires standardising data-collection practices to ensure accurate tracking and reporting, enabling a robust, strategic roadmap toward effective decarbonisation.”
Banijay Entertainment has selected TheGreenShot’s GreenPro software to centralise its global greenhouse-gas accounting, integrating input from its worldwide network. The tool will automatically consolidate data from the group’s 130+ labels, while also generating project-level carbon-emissions reports. The rollout will take place in stages, with the expectation that within a year, all of Banijay’s production-related carbon data will be monitored through GreenPro.

Over the past two years, GreenPro has already processed 83,000 documents and 152,000 financial transactions for 177 productions, measuring a total of 43,500 MTCO₂. The partnership with Banijay Entertainment will significantly amplify the platform’s scope and impact.
