Do You Remember Karaoke?

Do You Remember Karaoke?
The nostalgia effect works (almost) every time; and that’s what Celebrity Karaoke Club is mainly based on. This ‘warm’ competition show was launched on Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios in French-speaking Canada last Friday.

Celebrity Karaoke Club is an NBCU format that was launched on the English channel ITV2 in 2020. The title tells you all you need to know: a group of celebrities sing karaoke in a London karaoke bar (in the British series) in the hope of being crowned champion. At the end of the evening, each celebrity votes for the best and worst performers. The two worst performers then compete in a karaoke clash, after which the remaining celebrities vote to eliminate one of them.
The Canadian version, produced by Attraction, retains the simplicity, spontaneity, and freshness of the original. Hosted by brilliant actor and comedian Stéphane Rousseau, a group of famous faces will battle it out at the invite-only Karaoké Club. The celebrities will have to command the stage through a night of wild performances, entertaining challenges and surprise arrivals to avoid leaving the club...
In today’s media landscape, we see the most daring experiments with brand new economic models alongside traditional content that retains the charm of the past. And that is why this period is so interesting and exciting.
