CBC/Radio-Canada outlined its plans for covering the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, announcing over 120 hours of original television programming along with an additional 800 hours of live streaming across its platforms.
Audiences will be able to follow the event from March 6–15 on CBC and CBC Gem in English, and on ICI TÉLÉ and ICI TOU.TV in French. The coverage will feature closed captioning, described video, and sign-language interpretation (ASL and QSL) for both the opening and closing ceremonies.
Around 600 athletes from numerous countries will compete in 79 events across six Para sports. Canada’s roster will be confirmed between November 2025 and February 2026.
CBC’s programming lineup includes three live daily shows, hosted by Anastasia Bucsis, Stef Reid, and a team of Paralympic medallists and experts who will deliver commentary and analysis. Radio-Canada will also air daily live content, late-night recaps, and sport-specific commentary by dedicated teams.
Additionally, CBC/Radio-Canada will provide over 800 hours of streaming, along with schedules, results, athlete profiles, highlights, and exclusive digital content through its websites, apps, and social platforms.
The organization also launched the promotional initiative “Where It Begins”, spotlighting Para athletes and their paths from local communities to the global stage.
