Crunchyroll has expanded its collaboration with Samsung Electronics with the launch of the 24/7 Crunchyroll Channel, now available on all Samsung Smart TVs. The news follows last year’s launch of the Crunchyroll application on Samsung Smart TVs, underscoring the growing demand for new and accessible ways to experience anime.
The Crunchyroll Channel will provide anime fans and newcomers alike with 24/7 access to a curated slate of fan-favorite series. Titles available at launch include "Yu Yu Hakusho", "Assassination Classroom Black Clover", and "To Your Eternity" among many others.
At launch, the network will feature English-subbed and - dubbed series, with additional genres, themes, and promotional programming blocks rolling out over time to showcase the depth and diversity of anime storytelling from Japan. And to celebrate the culture and art of anime, the network will be airing full episodes of "Crunchyroll Presents: The Anime Effect", the flagship podcast that provides a gateway for the anime-curious to enter the wide world of the medium. It shows that anime is already a part of their lives, even if they haven't realized it.
"Crunchyroll is committed to making anime more accessible than ever and the launch of the Crunchyroll Channel on Samsung is another step towards ensuring we’re everywhere our fans want to enjoy their anime,” said Mitchel Berger, EVP of Global Commerce at Crunchyroll. “We’re excited to give fans, and those just discovering anime, a curated, always-on way to experience the stories and characters they love, right from their Samsung Smart TVs.”
