S4C Reveals First Glimpse of Second Season of
Initial images from S4C’s celebrated heist series "Dal y Mellt" have been unveiled. The new season will air in Welsh, with subtitles, on S4C, S4C Clic, and BBC iPlayer starting 4th January 2026.

"Dal y Mellt" season two brings viewers back together with Carbo, Antonia, and Mici as they are pulled into a high-risk realm of crime, deception, and treachery spanning from Cardiff’s docks to London’s criminal underworld. A menacing new rival faction emerges, compelling former allies to reconsider their loyalties and escalating the stakes like never before.

The inaugural series of "Dal y Mellt" premiered on S4C in October 2022 before being picked up by Netflix in April 2023 under the title "Rough Cut", becoming the first Welsh-language drama to appear on the streaming platform. The second season seems set for comparable success, with the show already sold to two international territories.

Season two features the return of Gwion Morris Jones ("Doctor Who") as Carbo and Mark Lewis Jones ("Hostage") as Mici. Also returning are Dyfan Roberts as Gronw, Lois Meleri Jones as Antonia, Owen Arwyn as Dafydd Aldo, Siw Hughes as Meri Jên, Ali Yassine as Cidw, Rhys ap Trefor as Jiffy, and Siwan Morris as Julia. New additions include Matthew Gravelle ("Broadchurch") as Blew.

The series is adapted from Iwan “Iwcs” Roberts’ latest novel Dal Arni, a follow-up to his book Dal y Mellt. Executive producers are Pip Broughton for Vox Pictures and Gwenllian Gravelle for S4C. "Dal y Mellt" season two is a Vox Pictures production for S4C, commissioned by Gwenllian Gravelle, Head of Film and Drama.
