Freedom Media Acquires 110 Hours of Premium Scripted Content from All3Media International
All3Media International has announced that leading Kazakhstan streaming platform Freedom Media has acquired 110 hours of high-quality scripted programming from the distributor’s acclaimed catalogue.

The acquisition includes multiple seasons of gripping, star-studded thrillers such as Black Snow (2 x 6x60’, Goalpost Pictures), the Travis Fimmel-led mystery drama, and both seasons of The Tourist (2 x 6x60’, Two Brothers Pictures), the action-packed thriller starring Jamie Dornan.

Freedom Media’s newly expanded slate also features a selection of stand-alone, A-list–led dramas. Among them, The English (6x60’, Drama Republic), the epic Western starring Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer, created by Emmy-nominated writer and director Hugo Blick. Set in 1890s mid-America, the series follows Lady Cornelia Locke and Eli Whipp on a spellbinding journey through a landscape of revenge, identity, and survival.

Joining the line-up are several high-impact thrillers from Two Brothers Pictures, including Angela Black (6x60’) — a dark psychological drama starring Joanne Froggatt, exploring themes of domestic abuse and resilience — and Boat Story (6x60’), a darkly comic, high-octane thriller about two strangers who stumble upon a drug haul on a deserted beach and make a life-altering decision.

From BAFTA-winning producer Story Films, Captivated (4x60’) has also been licensed. The drama stars Kara Tointon and Allen Leech as a young mother and her son drawn into the dangerous orbit of a wealthy businessman hiding a dark past.
The Forge’s political thriller Roadkill (4x60’), starring Hugh Laurie as a charismatic yet embattled politician, will also be available to Kazakhstani audiences.

Additional titles include Too Close (3x60’, Snowed-In Productions), a compelling psychological drama starring Emily Watson and Denise Gough that delves into the complex relationship between two women forced together by fate.

Freedom Media’s deal also encompasses a range of acclaimed true-crime dramas.
These include The Gold (12x60’, Objective Fiction and Tannadice Pictures), a critically lauded retelling of the 1983 Brink’s-Mat robbery, featuring Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Dominic Cooper, Tom Cullen, and Charlotte Spencer.
Another standout title is I Fought the Law (4x60’, Hera Pictures), starring BAFTA-winner Sheridan Smith as Ann Ming, a mother’s emotional and determined fight for justice following her daughter’s murder.
Also joining the line-up is Far North (6x60’, South Pacific Pictures), a stranger-than-fiction true story about an international crime that disrupts a quiet New Zealand community.

Completing the slate is The Long Shadow
(7x60’, New Pictures), from acclaimed writer George Kay and director Lewis Arnold, a sensitive yet gripping depiction of the five-year manhunt for serial killer Peter Sutcliffe.
Mrs Wilson (3x60’, Snowed-In Productions), starring Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson, rounds out the collection — a powerful domestic drama inspired by Wilson’s own family history and her grandmother’s extraordinary life story.

This extensive scripted package follows Freedom Media’s successful collaboration with All3Media International on local adaptations of three hit dramas: The Missing (Two Brothers Pictures), Trigger Point (HTM Television), and Accused. Each adaptation brought compelling local storytelling to audiences across the region.

Gabriel Andrews, Sales Executive for Balkans, Greece, Turkey, and CIS at All3Media International, commented:“Star-studded casts, award-winning producers, captivating universal storylines and premium production values define our scripted catalogue, so we are thrilled that Freedom Media has acquired more than 100 hours of our drama. Having already brought our scripted formats to life through local versions of Trigger Point, Accused and The Missing, we’re delighted they are now bringing this stellar line-up of dynamic dramas to stream in Kazakhstan.”
