At the fifth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria, held at Madrid’s Matadero from September 30 to October 3, Movistar Plus+ International, the distribution arm of Movistar Plus+, presented its latest successes and an ambitious slate of upcoming originals. During a meeting between M.Chiara Duranti chief editor of Formatbiz and Fabrizia Palazzo, Distribution Manager at Movistar Plus+, she commented :“Among the titles already resonating with audiences are Querer (drama, 4x50’) and The New Years (drama, 10x50’), both of which continue to expand Movistar’s international footprint.
Among the recently launched titles, she spotlighted Se tiene que morir mucha gente, Yo siempre a veces, and Matar a un oso. The latter, produced by Movistar Plus+ in collaboration with Filmax, is adapted from a stage play of the same name.
The Iberseries showcase also highlighted a wide selection of premieres for the coming year, including:
La Canción (drama, 3x50’) – a poignant story with emotional resonance.
The Nameless (thriller, 6x50’) – a suspenseful drama weaving mystery and identity.
The Hunt. Irati (thriller, 8x50’) – combining tension and survival.
Poquita Fe Season 2 (comedy, 8x20’) – continuing its witty exploration of everyday life.
Looking further ahead, Movistar Plus+ is preparing a strong lineup for Fall 2025, including The Anatomy of a Moment (drama, 4x50’) and The Dentist (thriller, 8x50’), while 2026 will bring the anticipated The Center (thriller, 6x50’).
In addition, Palazzo confirmed that titles such as Anatomía de un instante, El Centro, and La vida breve will also be promoted at the upcoming MIPCOM in Cannes, reflecting Movistar’s ambition to consolidate its position as a top exporter of Spanish-language scripted content.
