On the third day of Iberseries & Platino Industria 2025 in Madrid, one of the most crowed panels was led by Mexico’s most famous entertainment dynasty: the Derbez family. During the session, they officially announced the launch of Estudios DRBZ, a new audiovisual production company that will serve as a creative hub for film, podcast, branded content, and original projects developed under the Derbez name.

The panel featured Eugenio Derbez (actor, director, producer, and Chairman & Co-Founder of 3Pas Studios), his wife Alessandra Rosaldo (singer, actress, and entrepreneur), their daughter Aislinn Derbez (actress, producer, entrepreneur), and José Eduardo Derbez (actor and host). Together, they shared the vision behind this new chapter in the family’s career.

Eugenio Derbez explained that the studio was born out of a desire to create content aligned with their personal passions:“Estudios DRBZ came from wanting to make the things we truly love. I realized how much potential my family has, and I wanted to provide the infrastructure to create the material they want—not just what they were offered. Now, under one roof, we can combine forces and bring out the best of each of us. Our first project, with José Eduardo, is already in development and it’s based on exactly what people want to see from him.”

He also reflected on what it means to belong to a multigenerational artistic family:“It’s a privilege to belong to a dynasty that started with my mother, but you’re always in the public eye. It can be tough, but we’ve learned to make the most of it. With De Viaje con los Derbez, for example, we thought social media would tear us apart—but it was the opposite. People were genuinely interested in seeing who we are behind the scenes. And although my family is dysfunctional in some ways, we actually get along better than many traditional families.”

The panel also touched on the success of the family’s reality series, De Viaje con los Derbez, which has become a cultural phenomenon by offering an intimate look at the family’s adventures around the world. The fifth season, set in Japan, will feature Eugenio, Alessandra, Aislinn, Vadhir, José Eduardo, and Aitana. The new season premieres on September 26, adding another milestone to the family’s international journey.
