Mipcom 2025 to Feature Keynote with Sony Pictures Television Chairman Keith Le Goy

MIPCOM confirmed that Keith Le Goy, Chairman of Sony Pictures Television (SPT), will deliver a keynote conversation at this year’s edition of MIPCOM CANNES, the world’s largest marketplace for television and streaming content (13–16 October 2025).

The keynote, staged as a fireside chat, will take place on Monday 13 October at 15:50 in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals. It forms part of the "C Suite Conversations" series, organized in partnership with "Variety", on the market’s opening afternoon.

Le Goy assumed his current role earlier this year, overseeing all television production activities, including SPT’s game shows, the global distribution of Sony Pictures film and TV content across broadcast and home entertainment, and the studio’s cable networks such as GSN (Game Show Network) in the US, Latin America, and Europe.

The keynote comes ahead of SPT’s exclusive opening-night preview of the much-anticipated dramedy "The Miniature Wife", also scheduled in the Grand Auditorium on Monday at 18:00 and open to all attendees. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with cast members Matthew Macfadyen, O-T Fagbenle, and Sian Clifford. The series will premiere on Peacock in the US next year, with SPT managing worldwide distribution.

“Keith Le Goy is one of the most respected and influential dealmakers in the international arena,” said Lucy Smith, Director of MIPCOM CANNES. “SPT’s proven strategy of investing in creative storytelling and taking calculated risks, combined with the freedom to produce and distribute each series independently, gives Keith a unique perspective on industry challenges, opportunities, and the road ahead.”

Produced by Media Res ("The Morning Show", "Pachinko"), "The Miniature Wife" is a high-concept dramedy that explores the balance of power within a marriage. Elizabeth Banks ("The Better Sister") and Matthew Macfadyen ("Succession”) portray a couple whose relationship is thrown into chaos after a technological mishap leaves the wife physically miniaturized. Based on the short story by Manuel Gonzales, the show was created by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner ("Boardwalk Empire", "Goliath"), who also serve as showrunners and executive producers.
