The first international adaptation of The Power has officially debuted on ProSiebenSat.1’s digital platform Joyn, marking a milestone for the hit French format. Produced by RedSeven Entertainment, the 50-episode first season is being rolled out online, while recap episodes air three times a week on Pro7 to maximize exposure and engage both streaming and broadcast audiences.
In less than a week, the German edition of The Power scored an impressive achievement, becoming the most successful launch for a reality original on Joyn to date. The highly anticipated series blends strategy and reality in an innovative format that has already captured viewers’ attention.
“We are thrilled about this first local adaptation of the format outside of France, in a very challenging climate in Germany,” said Dimitri Gélineau, Sales Manager at M6 Formats.
“Seeing The Power expand beyond France and achieve such a record-breaking launch in Germany is both a proud and humbling moment for us. The Power is becoming one of those rare properties that grows stronger with every adaptation,” added Moe Bennani, Founder & CEO of Dreamspark.
Meanwhile, in France, the format continues to thrive. Following the launch of Season 2 earlier this year, ratings climbed by +20% compared to the Season 1 premiere, particularly strong in key demos, with 6.8% on Women-50. As a result, W9 has already commissioned a third season, currently in production in Morocco and scheduled for broadcast in 2026. Producers promise fresh rules and twists to keep the loyal fanbase engaged.
Created by Dreamspark and Studio 89, The Power is a high-stakes daily strategy game centered around one crucial question: Who holds the power? Thirteen celebrities live together in isolation, where they must expose the hidden Power Player each week—or risk elimination themselves.
With its strong performance in France and now Germany, The Power is rapidly emerging as one of the most dynamic and scalable reality formats on the international market.
