Escapade Media has acquired the international rights to A Season with Isabella Rossellini (1x55’), a captivating new documentary from Groupe Elephant. Directed by French filmmaker and former M6 TV editor-in-chief Marian Lacombe, the film offers a layered and intimate portrait of the Oscar-nominated actress, model, and cultural icon.

A Season with Isabella Rossellini goes beyond the red carpet to reveal Rossellini’s vibrant, multifaceted life. From starring in Alice Rohrwacher’s La Chimera in Italy, to performing her stage production Darwin’s Smile in France and Spain, to embracing her role as a fashion figure in Los Angeles, the film captures Rossellini’s boundless energy and curiosity. It also follows her to her Long Island farm, where she raises rare sheep and goats, develops an organic wool collective, and puts her master’s degree in ethology into practice through sustainable farming and biodiversity projects.

“I created the farm because I didn’t think my career as a model or as an actress was going any place. I went to college and got a master’s degree in Ethology. The farm is really a hands-on resolution of those studies, whether it was learning to be a beekeeper, raising heritage breeds of animal or working with other farms reconnecting with biodiversity and organic practices,” explains Rossellini.
