Japan’s Nippon TV will introduce globally “viztrick AiDi” (registered trademark in Japan and the U.S.), or simply “AiDi” — a groundbreaking AI-driven graphics solution created to redefine creativity and efficiency in live sports streaming and broadcast production. The international debut is scheduled for the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2025 in Amsterdam, taking place September 12–15.
The title “AiDi” originates from the English word Aid, symbolizing its role in assisting and empowering production crews, combined with “AI,” reflecting its cutting-edge artificial intelligence features.
Conceived internally by Nippon TV’s Engineering and Technology Division, AiDi has already won several national awards and is currently deployed across Japan in Nippon TV’s sports programming, where it has been widely praised by both producers and viewers.
Hiroo Sueoka, Associate Managing Director, AiDi Project, Global Strategy Headquarters, Nippon TV, stated: “Nippon TV is committed to transforming digital media in this constantly evolving industry, and we have been developing AiDi over many years with this worldwide launch in mind. This internal breakthrough, created by our Engineering and Technology Division, leverages more than 70 years of live production expertise, particularly in professional baseball and soccer. With functions such as automatic score generation and real-time player tracking, AiDi’s intuitive system processes everything locally on a PC, ensuring faster, more reliable, and more secure results. AiDi not only offers groundbreaking visual solutions for sports programming but also significantly enhances production efficiency. At IBC 2025, Nippon TV will showcase AiDi to a global audience of industry specialists eager to adopt it, at Stand 2.B53.”
