Seven. One Studios International and TBS to Launch Match My Moves
Seven. One Studios International has closed a deal with TBS Television in Japan to re-develop the Japanese entertainment format Match My Moves for the international market.

The concept was originally a popular segment within one of Japan’s hit primetime shows, in which contestants must perfectly copy dance routines in a short space of time. Building on this proven format, Seven. One Studios International has introduced new creative elements to make it more appealing to global audiences.
In this newly developed version, four teams comprised of a celebrity team captain and four professional dancers compete through four rounds of matching-based challenges. They face off in choreographed routines and spontaneous challenges, culminating in a dazzling live finale – all under the watchful eyes of a charismatic host, a live studio audience, and a star-powered jury. At the end of every episode, one team takes the trophy.

Tim Gerhartz, managing director of Seven. One Studios International said:“Match my Moves offers an upbeat and fun entertainment experience that should appeal to all those broadcasters looking to capture a broad family audience. The combination of high-energy performances, celebrity engagement and constant surprises will appeal to viewers of all ages. The team at Seven. One are looking forward to introducing the format to clients at Mipcom.”

Katsuaki Seto, executive officer, global business, at TBS Holdings Inc. said:TBS has defined ‘Inspiring Global Love for Japan through Timeless Moments’ as its Global Business Brand Purpose, and is committed to advancing into the global market in earnest. In this context, we are truly honored to deliver Match My Moves a hugely successful primetime format in Japan, to audiences worldwide together with Seven. One Studios International, a company renowned for distributing global hit formats.

Takuya Matsubara, Producer of Match My Moves, of Tokyo Broadcasting System Television added:At the beginning, launching a project centered on dance was a challenge, but it has now become one of the show’s signature features. It is a cherished segment, created with the aim of being enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds. The thought that this Japanese variety show segment –designed so anyone can have fun watching – might also be enjoyed by audiences around the world truly excites me. I am also deeply grateful to the team at Seven. One Studios International for approaching this project with such passion.

Seven. One Studios International is exhibiting on Stand P4.C16 at Mipcom.
