Acclaimed French screenwriter and showrunner Fanny Herrero was honored last night with the Deadline TV Disruptor Award during the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Le Havre. The ceremony took place at the historic Benedictine Monastery in Fécamp, celebrating her exceptional creative impact on French and international television.
Created in 2024 by Deadline, the award recognizes innovative voices reshaping the global TV landscape. Herrero is the second French talent to receive it, following Noé Debré in 2024.
Over her career, Herrero has written for acclaimed series including Les Bleus, Don’t Do This, Don’t Do That, Odysseus, A French Village, and Kaboul Kitchen. She is best known as the creator of Standing Up for Netflix and as the showrunner of the first three seasons of Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent), the hit comedy series that won the International Emmy Award for Best Comedy in 2021 and has been adapted worldwide.
In 2023, she was also part of the writing team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony, alongside novelist Leïla Slimani, historian Patrick Boucheron, and artistic director Thomas Jolly.
