Netflix Will Invest More Than €1 Billion in Spain Between 2025 and 2028
Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, has announced an investment of more than one billion euros in Spain between 2025 and 2028. The streaming company, which is celebrating a decade since its arrival in Spain, has reinforced its commitment to the local audiovisual industry at an event attended by the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service, Óscar López. The conference took place at the production hub that Netflix opened in Tres Cantos (Madrid) in 2019, which is its largest filming facility in the European Union.

During his speech, Sarandos confirmed: For the last decade, we have been on an incredible journey alongside all of you. Together, we have brought local series and films to our members here and around the world. More than 1000 Spanish titles since 2017.These stories have come from every corner of the country. Our very first Spanish original series, Cable Girls, shot right here on the streets of Madrid.The Snow Girl in Andalusia.Nowhere filmed on the beaches of Sitges.All The Truth Behind My Lies, which is shooting right now in Murcia.

Netflix has invested and supported more than 20,000 jobs in the audiovisual industry and filmed over 200 cities in Spain.
