Play4 brings Danish format Zero Stars to Belgium
Play4 has commissioned a local adaptation of the Danish hit format Zero Stars. The Belgian version, titled Geen Sterren, is set to premiere in 2025 and will be produced by the award-winning production company Roses Are Blue.

Originally created by Liquidminds, Zero Stars (locally titled Nul Stjerner) has been a runaway success in Denmark, airing for seven seasons on DR2, with seasons 7 and 8 already in production. Its international appeal continues to grow, with a successful local adaptation in Norway (Warner Bros Discovery, season 2 in production) and production deals underway in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, and Poland.

What happens when you start at the worst possible place? Zero Stars takes viewers on an unforgettable journey as two hosts explore destinations far removed from 5-star luxury. From visiting the worst-reviewed spots on TripAdvisor to uncovering hidden gems behind the criticism, the format blends humor, curiosity, and discovery. Along the way, stereotypes are challenged, reminding us that adventure can be found where we least expect it—even in the most unlikely places.

Simone de Pruyssenaere, Director of Sales & Acquisitions at Primitives, said:
“We are thrilled to see Zero Stars continue its international success with Play4 and Roses Are Blue. Belgium is the perfect market for this humorous travel format, and we can’t wait to see audiences embrace it.”
