It delves into the family's ambitions, struggles, and relationships, set against the backdrop of Sicily's rich and turbulent history. The series stars Miriam Leone and Michele Riondino.

On September 11, I Fratelli Corsaro debuted on Canale 5, a detective drama series produced by RTI and CamFilm, attracting 2.5 million viewers with a 16.5% share. The story is based on the novels by journalist Salvo Toscano and follows the lives of two brothers, Fabrizio (played by Giuseppe Fiorello) and Roberto (played by Paolo Briguglia). Despite their stark differences—Fabrizio is a journalist, and Roberto is a lawyer—the brothers are deeply united by their love for their mother and family. Together, they navigate and solve complex murder and crime cases in Palermo. This new series adds to the network’s lineup of crime dramas.

On September 15, Rai 1 premiered the drama series Sempre al tuo fianco, which opened with 2.4 million viewers and a 15.6% share. The six-episode series, produced by Rai Fiction and 11 Marzo Film, stars Ambra Angiolini and Andrea Bosca. The story follows Sara Nobili, a volcanologist and member of Italy's Civil Protection Agency. Set in Stromboli, the series focuses on the agency’s intense efforts to manage natural disasters, particularly volcanic activity. Alongside the professional challenges, the show delves into Sara's personal struggles, including her strained relationship with her daughter, Marina, following her divorce from Massimo, the mayor of Stromboli, and her budding romance with Renato, a colleague from the Civil Protection team.

The detective drama Kostas, produced by Rai Fiction with Palomar, premiered on Rai 1 on September 12, garnering an impressive 3.2 million viewers and a 21.1% share. Starring Stefano Fresi as Commissioner Kostas Charitos, the series is based on Petros Markaris' novels and follows Charitos as he solves crimes in a mysterious, vintage Athens. Known for his tenacity and attention to detail, Charitos often clashes with his superior, Ghikas. The series also delves into Charitos’ personal life, showcasing his love of cooking and dictionaries, as well as an investigation into his father’s hidden past. Directed by Milena Cocozza, the series offers four prime-time episodes and features a great cast, including Francesca Inaudi, Blu Yoshimi, and Marco Palvetti.

Rai 1’s new thriller-drama Brennero, produced by Rai Fiction with Cross Productions, made its debut on September 16, drawing in 2.8 million viewers with a 17.2% share. Set in the Province of Bolzano, the story follows prosecutor Eva Kofler, who comes from a German-speaking background, as she teams up with Italian-born inspector Paolo Costa to catch a serial killer known as "the Monster of Bolzano." The victims, all German speakers, were targeted for allegedly discriminating against Italian speakers. Paolo, who lost a leg and his partner in a previous attempt to catch the killer, is personally driven to solve the case, while Eva seeks to prove herself worthy of her father's legacy. Despite initial tensions, they become a strong investigative duo, confronting their personal demons as they close in on the killer. The series stars Elena Radonicich and Matteo Martari.
