DCD Rights: Jimi Hendrix Doc Sold to Sky UK, Chicago Concert Pre-Sold to PBS, and Christmas at Graceland Revealed for MIPTV
DCD Rights has unveiled an exciting lineup of new concerts and feature-length documentaries.

Firstly, a remastered version of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars: The Motion Picture, produced by the Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment Company, has been acquired by NHK Japan.
This 4K restoration, directed by DA Pennebaker, captures Bowie's iconic 1973 concert at the Hammersmith Odeon, where he famously announced the retirement of his Ziggy Stardust persona. With an extended running time and restored songs, including a special appearance by guitar legend Jeff Beck, this version promises an immersive experience for fans.

Launching at MIPTV is Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision, a 90-minute special produced by Experience Hendrix. Pre-sold to Sky in the UK, this documentary delves into the creation of Electric Lady Studios, featuring exclusive interviews, rare footage of Hendrix, and track breakdowns by producer Eddie Kramer.

In addition, DCD has secured an early pre-sale to PBS in the USA for Chicago & Friends: Live At 55, produced by Rock Fuel Media. This program celebrates Chicago's music legacy with guest artists, performing classic tracks alongside greatest hits and deep cuts.

Also premiering at MIPTV is Christmas At Graceland, a special produced by Done+Dusted & Authentic Studios for NBC and Peacock. Filmed live at Elvis Presley’s Graceland, this festive special features performances by contemporary stars, including appearances by Elvis’ granddaughter, Riley Keough, and magical performances by Lainey Wilson, Lana Del Rey, Kane Brown, Alanis Morissette, Post Malone, The War And Treaty, John Legend, and Kacey Musgraves.

James Anderson, Sales Manager at DCD Rights, expressed excitement about presenting these spectacularly produced concerts to international audiences, highlighting the global appeal of legendary artists like David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Chicago, and Elvis Presley.
