Turkish Crime Drama 'Persona' Returns for Season 2; French Remake in Progress for M6
Critically acclaimed crime drama Persona, starring International Emmy® award winner Haluk Bilginer, is set to return for a gripping second season. Lauded by critics as "entertaining, challenging, slick, and expressive" (TAGESSPIEGEL Berlin), Beta Film has successfully sold the Ay Yapim production across Europe and beyond, including the US, Canada, and Japan.

Additionally, a French adaptation titled Mémoire Vive (4x1h) is currently in production. Led by renowned actress Clémentine Célarié, known for her roles in Six Women, Betty Blue, and Two Is a Family, the series reimagines the female protagonist as Esther Lefevre.

Produced by CaltSTUDIO for M6, Mémoire Vive is scripted by Laurent Burtin (Astrid: Murder in Paris), Anne-Gaëlle Daval (Ladies), and Hélène Lombard (Call My Agent!), with direction by Arnaud Malherbe (Moloch, Chefs, Rictus). Filming is slated for the first half of 2024.

Haluk Bilginer, the renowned Turkish star, earned an International Emmy® Award for his portrayal of Persona's antihero, Agâh, in 2019. In the upcoming season, Agâh, grappling with Alzheimer's, begins piecing together his memories under his daughter's care. Unbeknownst to him, his newfound freedom attracts powerful adversaries seeking revenge.

Produced by Ay Yapim, Persona (22x1h) debuted on Puhu TV for its first season and is now slated for its second season on Gain.
