France Télévisions and Paramount+ are co-producing a new adaptation of celeb brand
Zorro . Set in 1821, Don Diego de la Vega, the mayor of crime-ridden Los Angeles, is forced to don his alter ego for the first time in twenty years in a bid to restore order. But, the fight for justice puts a strain on his marriage, with his wife unaware of his little secret. Not to be confused with the upcoming Spanish
drama, distributed by Mediawan, Jean Dujardin (The Artist) stars in the titular role.
Co-produced by Paramount+, France Télévisions, Le Collectif 64 and Bien Sûr Productions.
The 8x40’series will stream on Paramount+ in France, the UK, Germany, Italy and Latin America prior to launching on FranceTV. The rights for all other territories are held by France Télévisions.
