Sky Original presents The Empire of Nature
Sky Nature will broadcast the documentary The Empire of Nature on Sunday, March 24th at 9:15 PM. This project, titled "A Night at the Colosseum Park," was premiered at the Rome Film Festival and presents an intriguing story related to the unique ecosystem that has developed among the ruins of the ancient Roman Empire. This extraordinary natural habitat has become home to numerous animal species, which have adapted to the glorious ruins and millennia-old monuments of the Colosseum and its surroundings as their natural habitat. The only humans who access it are biologists and naturalists who monitor the present species, some of which are particularly rare and difficult to spot. Through close encounters with various creatures, the documentary shows how nature adapts to chaotic urban environments and faces the challenges of the new millennium for the conservation of the planet. The production, created in collaboration with the Colosseum Archaeological Park and MiC, is exclusively available on Sky Nature and streaming on NOW.
