Davos 1917: Premium Spy Drama Series Secures North American and European Broadcast Deals
Global Screen has successfully secured deals for the premium spy drama series Davos 1917 in North America and with an additional free-to-air broadcaster in Europe.

Global Series Network has acquired the series for its innovative SVOD feed, Walter Presents, in North America. Additionally, the national broadcaster RTP in Portugal, along with Filmin VOD services for Spain and Portugal, have also acquired the series.
These recent agreements complement the previously announced sales to Mediaset in Italy, MTV A in Hungary, and ORF in Austria. The acclaimed 6 x 45’ thriller premiered in December on SRF Switzerland and ARD Germany.

Davos 1917, inspired by real events in the early days of the European Secret Services, features a stellar cast including Dominique Devenport (Sisi), David Kross (The Reader), Jeanette Hain (Never Look Away), Max Herbrechter (Rauhnächte), Sunnyi Melles (Triangle of Sadness), and Stipe Erceg (Vienna Blood).

Set against the backdrop of the First World War ravaging Europe in 1917, Switzerland appears as an oasis of peace. However, behind the scenes in neutral Switzerland, secret agents from world powers operate in Davos. The series follows a young woman's quest for self-determination as she does everything in her power to reclaim her daughter, who was taken away from her at birth.

Produced in German and Swiss-German with English subtitles and dubbed in French and Italian, Davos 1917 is a collaboration between Contrast Film, Letterbox Filmproduktion, Amalia Film, SRF, and ARD Degeto. The series is directed by Jan-Eric Mack, Anca Miruna Lăzărescu, Christian Theede, with Adrian Illien as the creator and head writer, and co-writers Thomas Hess, Julia Penner, and Michael Sauter. The directors of photography are Tobias Dengler and Timon Schäppi.
