Banijay, a leading force in media and entertainment, is thrilled to introduce Banijay Bootcamp, an innovative program designed to nurture scripted talent and encourage collaborative storytelling.
Helmed by Steve Matthews, Content Executive at Banijay, Banijay Bootcamp is executed in collaboration with the well-established MIDPOINT Institute's Series Launch program, a venture Matthews has been involved with since its inception in 2015. Working alongside Matthews are Nina Hernández, Head of Content at Portocabo, and guest tutor Tatjana Samopjan.
Kicking off this week in Prague, the program spans two residencies over three months. A select group of five Banijay development executives from Mexico, Spain, France, Israel, and the Netherlands will each be paired with a mentee, collaborating on the development of ideas, storylines, plots, and scripts.
The inaugural Banijay Bootcamp features a talented lineup, including Clara Machado (Endemol Shine Boomdog) collaborating with Carl Zitelmann, Anita Pico (Zeppelin) partnering with Carlotta Dans, and Lucía Estévez (Portocabo) teaming up with Héloïse Ridoux (Banijay Studios France) and Quentin Elles.
Banijay Bootcamp stands as a testament to the group's commitment to accelerating and supporting talent, igniting creativity. This initiative joins the ranks of other empowering programs like Banijay Launch, dedicated to supporting women creators with promising unscripted formats. Banijay Launch provides in-house mentorships to guide these creators in developing innovative formats from initial concept to pitch and eventual sale.
