Rai 1 will broadcast in three evening the period drama
La Lunga Notte on Monday, January 29, 30 and 31 in prime time. The series produced by Rai Fiction and Èliseo Entertainment is focused on the three weeks preceding the night between 24 and 25 July 1943, in which the last meeting of the Grand Council took place and which marked the end of the fascist regime in Italy. The series retraces the events that led to that crucial moment, recounting a very important part of the Fascim in Italy, when Benito Mussolini was challend by the Grand Council.
The main protagonist is actor Alessio Boni in the role of Justice Minister Dino Grandi who made that crucial decision with the other members, along with with Duccio Camerini, Marco Foschi, Lucrezia Guidone, Ana Caterina Morariu, Flavio Parenti, Aurora Ruffino, Martina Stella, Luigi Diberti.
The series in six episodes is based on a screenplay written by Franco Bernini and Bernardo Pellegrini, and directed by Giacomo Campiotti.
