"The story - 'a luminous fable', as Rai Fiction director Maria Pia Ammirati defines it - that  tells of the arrival of television in the house of a Matera family: the protagonist is a child, Giovanni Limite, in the role of Pinuccio.Television is the 'deus ex machina of the story, the instrument that allows the members of the Rondinone family  to find each other". The story tells the delicate transition from what has been called the peasant civilisation to the industrialisation of the Matera area, showing its evolution through the power of the deepest affections that animate the typical Lucanian family.  "A delicate and poetic tale that, exploiting the aggregating force of television of the time, exalts the value of human relationships" (Eliseo's press note).
