Mediaset buys historical brand Zelig

Mediaset Group acquired the brand Zelig after a long partnership.
The announcemnt was made by the Italian Media giant in a press note declaring that :" after 35 years of activity the brand has been included in Mediaset".

Thanks to the new agreement, Mediaset will become the owner of the Zelig brand and all rights to exploitation of the archive, TV productions and websites, while founders Gino Vignali, Michele Mozzati and Giancarlo Bozzo will continue to run the theatrical business.

With Zelig, Mediaset aims to create content for the TV and web properties of the Group. In addition, this deal will strengthen Italy's largest forge of talent and develop the search of the protagonists of the future of comedy, also thanks to the continuous collaboration with the founders".
 Pier Silvio Berlusconi, Mediaset CEO said: 
"Zelig is a great value, one of the best known and most beloved symbols of Italian entertainment. It is important for us that it continues to exist and grow. And we are confident that thanks to the strength of our networks and the excellent creativity of the founders, the symbol of Italian comedy will have an important future."
