Inter Medya is looking to expand the distribution of its drama series <em>Bitter Lands</em> and <em>The Pit</em>, as well as its new reality dating show <em>The Perfect Couple</em> [in picture], developed with Colombia’s DMT Producciones.

On a private island, 11 women and 11 men compete to win keys to rooms within the island’s only house, eventually choosing a partner with whom to share their room. “The challenge is that not everyone has a place in the estate,” says Inter Medya Sales Executive Beatriz Cea Okan. “This fast and exciting format will definitely attract the crowd.”

Telling a love story set in 1970s Istanbul, <em>Bitter Lands</em> is performing well in Turkey, with a 28 percent share on Thursdays in prime time. <em>The Pit</em>, starring Aras Bulut Iynemli and Dilan Çiçek Deniz, has already sold in Georgia, Afghanistan and Chile.

“Our extensive catalog contains some of the most important Turkish productions with many well-known actors,” Okan says.
