A broadcaster in Argentina has commissioned an adaptation of Endemol Shine’s Australian cooking format Family Food Fight.

Telefe will air a local version of the show, due to air later this year, with Endemol Shine Latino handling production.

Family Food Fight sees different families face a variety of challenges across an assortment of cuisines as they compete to win a major cash prize.

The show was created by Endemol Shine Australia for Nine Network, which commissioned a second season towards the end of 2017.

“Family Food Fight perfectly blends two of the ingredients that Latin Americans hold dear – family and cooking,” said Michelle Wasserman, senior VP of licensing and content development for Endemol Shine Latino.

The show’s first Latin American deal comes after ABC in the US commissioned an eight-part version to be produced by Endemol Shine North America, hosted by restauranteur and cookbook author Ayesha Curry.
