Talpa Media has appointed Maarten Meijs as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) as of June 1st, 2018. In his new role, Meijs will be the first lead in the daily operations with ITV Studios and its associated companies. Talpa Media was acquired by ITV plc in 2015. Furthermore, Meijs will be responsible for strengthening the operational connection between the various components within the group, from creation, production and digital, towards the commercialization of its content.
Meijs has been working at Talpa Media in various roles since 2009. In addition to his position as COO for Talpa Media, he will continue to keep his current responsibilities within Talpa Global. In this role, Meijs is responsible for the global rollout and commercialization of (TV) formats and digital concepts. He also retains responsibility for its international offices that include Talpa North America, Talpa Middle East, as well as Talpa Germany. Under Meijs’ supervision, Talpa’s No. 1 format franchise The Voice – which includes The Voice, The Voice Kids and The Voice Senior - became the most successful format brand to date in the non-scripted global market place, with close to 110 versions worldwide.

With the addition of Maarten Meijs, the Talpa Media Board now consists of four members: Pim Schmitz (CEO), Shashi Baboeram Panday (CFO), Barry Masclee (CCO) and Maarten Meijs (COO).
