Rather than using existing literary properties simply as source material, Y+X Entertainment says LumiCreator has been conceived as a creator-aligned ecosystem connecting authors, screenwriters, filmmakers and artists with opportunities for adaptation, IP development and longer-term participation in the franchises generated from their work.
Several projects are already in active development for LumiView.
New York Times bestselling author Tosca Lee’s novel Demon is being adapted as a premium cinematic vertical series, with production taking place in South Korea under the creative leadership of a Korean filmmaker.Science-fiction author Kathy Tyers’ Firebird is also being developed for the platform, alongside Christy Barritt’s thriller Hidden Currents, produced in collaboration with independent production company Fear Not Productions.Other projects include Lorie Langdon’s fantasy-romance title Doon, Candace Kade’s speculative-fiction novel Enhanced and Sara Ella’s fantasy title The Wonderland Trials.
“The initial LumiCreator network reflects both the creative range and global ambition of LumiView,” said Vivian Yin, Founder and CEO of Y+X Entertainment Group. “Together, we are building a slate of premium, creator-driven stories that we believe can help redefine the vertical storytelling landscape.”
