The WAWA Audiovisual Summit 2026 will bring together senior executives from Globo, Canela Media and former BBC leadership for a virtual discussion on the future of the audiovisual industry. Taking place on July 2 at 11:00 a.m. (Miami time), the 60-minute event will examine how media companies are adapting to changing audience behaviors, evolving distribution models and emerging business opportunities.
Previously known as the WAWA Broadcasting Summit, the event has been rebranded as the WAWA Audiovisual Summit to reflect the industry's expanding ecosystem and the growing convergence of platforms, content and business models. The session will be hosted by Gabriela Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of Content at R Media and WAWA Board Member, together with Rosemarie Morales, Senior Manager of Media Content Acquisitions at Claro Video and WAWA Board Member.
The speaker lineup includes Pablo Ghiglione, Vice President of International Sales at Globo; Gabriela Abdo, Coordinator of Advertising Products at Globo; Beth Clearfield, Founder of Clearfield Media Consulting and former BBC Studios executive; and Felipe Osorio, SVP of Content Verticals at Canela Media. The panel will discuss how leading media companies are responding to shifts in consumption habits, the expansion of FAST and AVOD services, digital transformation strategies and new approaches to sustainable business growth.
