Banijay Rights has signed a digital representation deal with chef, television presenter and author Mike Reid, expanding its roster of talent-focused social media partnerships. The agreement will see Banijay Rights manage and monetize Reid’s content across Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, while also developing original content for his YouTube channel.
Known as The Laughing Chef, Reid has hosted and judged a range of international culinary formats, including Netflix’s Five Star Chef, Network Ten’s Good Chef Bad Chef in Australia and Channel 5’s Taste Test Restaurant in the UK. He has also appeared on MasterChef UK.
Shaun Keeble, VP Digital at Banijay Rights, said: “Mike Reid is an outstanding cooking talent who has built a fantastic and engaged following - we see real potential to grow his global social media presence strategically. He’s a great addition to our talent portfolio and we can’t wait to get cooking together.”
Reid added: “After 20 years cooking in kitchens around the world, this channel brings it all together — the techniques, stories, and food I love. Expect new recipes, masterclasses, and moments from my shows in the UK and Australia. Partnering with Banijay Rights, I can't wait to build a community of people who share that passion for food."
The chef joins a digital representation roster that includes culinary personalities Mary Berry and Jeremy Pang, alongside producer and creator Phil Rosenthal, whose partnership with Banijay Rights was recently expanded to grow his YouTube presence.
