Iberseries & Platino Industria has extended the deadline for its currently open professional calls and Early Bird professional accreditations for its sixth edition until June 18, 2026, at 16:00 GMT+2.
The extension follows strong industry interest in the new initiatives and programmes announced for this year’s edition, further strengthening the event’s role as a key meeting point for the Ibero-American and European audiovisual industries.
Among the main novelties is the launch of the Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, a new initiative designed to boost co-production and international circulation of European fiction series, docuseries and animation projects with global potential. The call will select up to seven projects in advanced development, offering mentoring, expert consultancy, one-to-one meetings and a final pitching session in front of commissioners, investment funds and potential international partners.
The initiative aims to reinforce cooperation between Atlantic European territories, including Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany and Luxembourg, as well as the Nordic countries and other European markets with a strong Atlantic projection, such as the United Kingdom. The selection committee includes Laura Miñarro, VP of International Business and Coproduction at Buendía Estudios; Diego del Pozo, Fiction Manager at Atresmedia Televisión; José Fragoso, Director of Programming at RTP1 and RTP Internacional; and Georges Huercano, Development and Co-Productions Manager at RTL.
The deadline extension also applies to the Co-Production and Financing Forum 2026, one of the event’s most established platforms for audiovisual projects seeking co-production, financing and strategic partnerships. The Forum will select up to ten series projects and ten feature film projects from Ibero-America and Europe, giving them access to tailored meetings with producers, platforms, sales agents, distributors and financial partners. This year’s committee includes showrunner Joanna Lombardi, Karina Dolgiej of TV Film International, and Bernardo Bergeret, founder of Ventana Sur and BloodWindow.
Applications will also remain open for the sixth edition of the Showrunner Training Workshop, coordinated by The Core School in collaboration with CIMA. The programme will select up to twelve projects and focus on the creative, executive and management responsibilities of the showrunner. The teaching team includes Jorge Redondo, Tatiana Rodríguez, Miquel Peidro and Leire Albinarrate, with the selection committee chaired by Enrique Darriba.
This edition will also introduce the new workshop “Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy”, led by Leonardo Zimbrón, SVP of Co-Production at 3Pas Studios. Aimed at producers, directors, writers and development executives, the workshop will provide tools for the development, financing, production and international positioning of audiovisual projects. Up to 25 participants will be selected.
The Early Bird rates for professional accreditations, both on-site and virtual, will also remain available until June 18. Accreditation grants access to the professional programme, project calls, networking tools and the event’s private online platform, including the professional directory and on-demand access to conferences and selected content.
Promoted by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya, in collaboration with FIPCA and supported by Madrid Film Office, Film Madrid Region, ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, ICAA and Spain Film Commission, among others, the sixth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria will once again bring together producers, platforms, broadcasters, studios, creators, distributors and investors from around the world.
Over four days, the event will feature conferences, keynotes, spotlights, exclusive screenings, market activities, networking sessions, professional meetings, platform and production company pitches, and training programmes aimed at fostering the development and internationalisation of Spanish- and Portuguese-language audiovisual content.
