Blood Brothers Begins Filming Between Spain and the United States
Filming has begun on Blood Brothers, a new action thriller directed by and starring Nacho Serapio, nine-time Martial Arts World Champion and one of Spain’s most prominent figures in physical action cinema.

Produced by Dragonz Entertainment, the first Spanish production company fully dedicated to action cinema, the film follows Javier, a security guard from Toledo who travels to the United States to rescue his brother Marcos from a dangerous criminal network led by Malik.

The shoot will take place over the coming weeks across New York, Philadelphia and Castilla-La Mancha. Although part of the story is set in the United States, all interior scenes will be filmed in Castilla-La Mancha, allowing the production to control the most complex action sequences, physical effects, lighting and choreography, while also supporting the local audiovisual industry through the hiring of regional crews and suppliers.

Alongside Serapio, the international cast includes Robert Samuels, known for John Wick 3; Eduardo Castejón (Hospital Central, Cuéntame cómo pasó); Silvio Simac (Danny the Dog, Undisputed II); Mike Galeck (Balas y Katanas, Reckoning); José Manuel (Kung-Fu Games, The Fist of Condor); and Argentine actress and model Guadalupe Garzela, making her film debut.

According to Serapio, Blood Brothers is the company’s most ambitious production to date. Shot in English for the international market, the film brings together an experienced technical team and well-known figures from the global action genre. “With Blood Brothers, we hope to mark a turning point in the way action cinema is made in Spain,” said Serapio.

Beyond its action-driven plot, the film explores themes of loyalty, family and redemption, following a man forced to enter the criminal underworld in order to save his brother.

Dragonz Entertainment
has been consolidating its position as a key player in Spanish independent action cinema. Its first feature, Balas y Katanas (2023), won more than 20 international awards and screened at festivals including the Madrid Film Festival and the Urban Action Showcase in Times Square. In 2025, the company released El Amuleto and is preparing Tras los pasos de la Rubia Platino.
