The Association of Independent Television Producers (APIT) is attending Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2026 from May 25-28, reinforcing its strategy to expand the international reach of Portugal’s independent production sector and promote local companies abroad.
The key focus of APIT’s presence at the market is the international debut of Watch Portugal, a new brand created to position Portuguese audiovisual content on the global stage. The initiative is being unveiled at the association’s stand in the Ibiza Room at Meliá Calvià Beach.
Watch Portugal aims to strengthen Portugal’s independent production ecosystem while fostering co-production opportunities and positioning the country as a competitive creative partner for the international market.
APIT’s participation at the 10th edition of Conecta also underscores its role in connecting Portuguese producers with global industry executives. The association’s stand has been conceived as a networking hub for professionals attending the event.
Susana Gato, Executive President of APIT, said: “Our participation in Conecta marks a key moment for aligning APIT’s strategy with the dynamics of the sector, reinforcing Portugal’s presence in an increasingly global context.”
