Globoplay comedy series Juntas e Separadas has emerged as one of the platform’s standout original productions, ranking among the streamer’s top-performing titles since launch. The 10x30’ scripted series, created by Thalita Rebouças, follows four women navigating divorce, friendship and dating after 40, blending humor with themes of identity, reinvention and sisterhood.
According to performance data shared by the platform, the show became the most-watched Globoplay Original series since its premiere and reached the number one spot among subscribers following launch. The title also ranked fourth among productions that attracted the highest number of new subscribers to the service.
Juntas e Separadas centers on Laura Brás, a TV host whose separation sparks the creation of a WhatsApp group called Single Together, bringing together three other women facing similar life transitions: Ana Lia Julião, a production executive; Joana Benizatto, a former lawyer hoping to become an actress; and Claudinha Soares, a Catholic chemistry teacher. Set between dating disasters, menopause, financial struggles and late-night conversations at Bar do Leme, the series explores the challenges of rediscovering life after divorce with a comedic tone aimed at mature audiences.
Audience data shows the series resonated particularly strongly with women and older viewers. Female audiences accounted for 68% of viewers, outperforming the platform average by 2.2 percentage points, while viewers aged 35-54 represented 52% of the audience, 7.6 points above the VOD average.
The production is directed by Mini Kerti, Rebeca Diniz and Jéssica Queiroz. Globoplay described the series as a production that has exceeded platform averages since its premiere, highlighting the show’s strong engagement around themes of friendship, freedom and self-discovery.
