Broadcasters, producers, distributors, and streaming platforms are now invited to submit their work for the international Venice TV Award. Supported by the Association of Commercial Television (ACT), the European Group of Television Advertising (EGTA), and the International Music + Media Centre (IMZ), the competition will award Gold Trophies and Nominee recognitions across 19 distinct categories.
The awards celebrate television as a vital source of news, entertainment, and culture. The 2026 categories include Documentary, Series, TV Film, News, Performing Arts, Comedy, Children/Youth, Reality TV, Light Entertainment, Program Promotion, Branded Entertainment, Sport, Best Of Innovation, Cross-Media Content, New Talent, Best Soap/Telenovela, Animation, Cinematography, and Direction.
To be eligible, entries must have been aired for the first time between January 1, 2025, and September 20, 2026. The submission deadline is June 30, 2026. Productions not originally in English must include subtitles or dubbing.
The jury will meet in Venice two weeks after the Venice Film Festival to select the winners, with the official announcement scheduled for the end of September 2026. The Venice TV Award serves as a tribute to the industry, highlighting the companies and individuals who bring powerful stories to life across all continents and platforms.
