Movistar Plus Original Film Los Domingos Wins Best Picture as Platform Secures 13 Goya Awards
The Movistar Plus+ original productions "Los Domingos", "Sirat", "Los Tigres", and "Flores para Antonio" dominated the 40th Goya Awards held this Saturday in Barcelona. In total, the platform achieved a historic milestone by securing 13 awards, reinforcing its commitment to the Spanish audiovisual industry.

Among the frontrunners, five Movistar Plus+ original films arrived at the ceremony with 34 nominations. Additionally, the platform participated in 16 other films that combined for 51 nominations across various categories.

Los Domingos Named Best Picture
The original film "Los Domingos" emerged as one of the night's biggest winners, taking home five Goya Awards. The film, produced in partnership with Buenapinta Media, Colosé Producciones, Sayaka Producciones, Encanta Films, Think Studio, and Los Desencuentros Película A.I.E. in association with Le Pacte, won in the following categories: Best Picture; Best Director (Alauda Ruiz de Azúa); Best Screenplay (Alauda Ruiz de Azúa); Best Actress (Patricia López Arnaiz) and Best Supporting Actress (Nagore Aramburu).

Six Awards For "Sirat"
"Sirat", directed by Oliver Laxe, continues its successful run toward the Oscars by picking up six Goya trophies. The film is produced in collaboration with Filmes da Ermida, El Deseo, Uri Films, and 4a4 Productions. Its wins included Best Editing (Cristóbal Fernández), Best Sound (Yasmina Praderas, Amanda Villavieja, and Laia Casanovas), Best Original Score (Kangding Ray), Best Production Supervision (Oriol Maymó), Best Cinematography (Mauro Herce), and Best Art Direction (Laia Ateca Font).

Success For "Los Tigres" and "Flores Para Antonio"
The film "Los Tigres", directed by Alberto Rodríguez and co-written with Rafael Cobos, secured the Goya for Best Special Effects (Paula Gallifa Rubia and Ana Rubio). The production is a joint effort with Kowalski Films, Feelgood Media, and Mazagón Films AIE in coproducción with Le Pacte.

Finally, the documentary film "Flores para Antonio", which explores the musical legacy of Antonio Flores through his daughter Alba Flores, won Best Original Song (Alba Flores and Silvia Cruz). Produced by Flower Power Producciones, LACOproductora, Caballo Films, and Flores para Antonio la película AIE, the film is set to premiere on the platform on Thursday, March 19.
