A Fábrica Brasil, part of Banijay Americas, has unveiled a strengthened, multi-genre slate spanning television, film and streaming, alongside a new sitcom in development for Globo. Created by Marcelo Andrade and directed by Gigi Soares, the untitled comedy marks the latest collaboration in A Fábrica’s long-standing partnership with the broadcaster.
The company is also expanding its relationship with Netflix through two projects: contemporary comedy "As Crianças Estão de Volta" (WT), which follows a couple whose fresh start is disrupted when their adult children move back home, and psychological thriller "A Estranha na Cama", a feature film created by bestselling author Raphael Montes.
Extending its collaboration with Montes, A Fábrica is developing "Uma Mulher no Escuro" for Globoplay, adapted from the award-winning novel and centered on a woman forced to confront childhood trauma resurfacing years later.
In comedy, long-running hit "Vai Que Cola" will conclude with its final season in 2026 after 14 years on air, while scripted series "Galera F.C." returns for a second season on HBO Max later this year.
On the film side, A Fábrica recently released "Very Special Agents", with upcoming titles including "Mission: 171" and "O Verão da Lata", inspired by the true story of marijuana cans washing up on Brazil’s beaches.
Luiz Noronha, MD& CCOof A Fábrica says: “We are incredibly proud of our slate this year, which showcases the talent and originality which defines A Fábrica Brasil. With an active,genre-rich pipeline, we continue to reinforce our position as an influential creative force in the region, built on strong IP, exceptional talent and strategic partnerships.”
