Xilam Animation Greenlights Two New Seasons of Zig & Sharko
Xilam Animation has announced the greenlight of two new seasons of its hit non-dialogue slapstick comedy “Zig & Sharko”, with long-standing partner Gulli (M6 Group) commissioning seasons five and six of the series. Each new installment will comprise 52 x 7-minute episodes, with delivery scheduled for 2027 and 2028, respectively. 

Created and directed by Hugo Gittard, seasons five and six will revolve around the theme of summer vacations, with each season exploring a “perfect holiday” scenario from the perspective of one of the show’s main characters.

The series marked its 15th anniversary in 2025 and stands as Xilam’s most established IP on YouTube, boasting more than 39 million subscribers and 22 billion views across eight dedicated channels worldwide. The brand also enjoys a strong social media following, with 2.5 million subscribers on TikTok, 3.6 million on Facebook, and 600,000 on Snapchat.
