La Preside is a new four-part original series produced by Bibi Film TV–Zocotoco in collaboration with Rai Fiction, directed by Luca Miniero, and airing in prime time on Rai 1 starting Monday, January 12. Loosely inspired by the true story of Eugenia Carfora—the school principal from Caivano who became a symbol of courage and determination in the fight for educational and social redemption—the series follows the mission of a visionary and stubborn woman, portrayed by Luisa Ranieri. At her first appointment as a principal, she chooses to lead the Anna Maria Ortese Institute in Naples, a school deeply affected by dropout rates and decay, located at the heart of one of Europe’s largest drug-dealing areas.
