The season opened to a strong response, with its first episode delivering a 43.2% audience share among 18–44s (consolidated). Gepke Nederlof, Managing Director of Be-Entertainment, remarked: “The third Belgian series promises to bring a good dose of 'Destination X' magic to the Belgian viewer, internationally we’re looking forward to a year full of new X’s being placed around the world, following the successful first local series in the US and UK for NBC and BBC last year.”
The new installment follows 10 contestants as they embark on what is billed as television’s most deceptive road trip, traveling blind aboard the show’s iconic blacked-out Destination X bus while attempting to identify their constantly changing location.
With no knowledge of where they are, the contestants take part in a series of challenges designed to earn clues—some helpful, others deliberately misleading. Throughout the journey, they are confronted with creative hints and strategic red herrings, forcing them to decide which information can be trusted.
Each episode culminates in a high-tension elimination, as the contestant whose guess is furthest from the bus’s true location is sent home, losing their shot at a significant cash prize. Audiences are invited to play along, following the twists, clues and misdirection that define the format and drive its suspense.
