The Veneto Film Commission has announced the 12 participants selected for Green Skills for Cinema and Audiovisual Production, an advanced training programme co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ KA2 (VET) framework. The programme will start online on 29 January 2026, with the first in-person session taking place in Venice from 5 to 8 February 2026, followed by additional training modules in Greece and Spain later in the year.
Designed for Sustainability Managers and professionals working in the audiovisual sector, the programme combines theoretical training with practical workshops, focusing on sustainable production practices, carbon measurement tools, certification processes and effective collaboration with producers, film commissions and institutions. Its overarching goal is to support the green transition of the European audiovisual industry by developing concrete skills and shared best practices.
Among the selected professionals is Giuseppe Duranti, whose background is strongly rooted in environmental sustainability and applied ecological management. His participation reflects the programme’s emphasis on bridging environmental expertise with the operational realities of film and audiovisual production. Duranti’s involvement highlights the growing need for specialised figures capable of translating sustainability principles into practical solutions on set, from pre-production planning to on-site implementation and impact assessment. His contribution is expected to add significant value to the peer exchange within the programme and to the broader objective of fostering more responsible and environmentally conscious audiovisual productions across Europe.
