Banijay Branded Entertainment (BBE), part of Banijay Entertainment, has announced a new development partnership between global presenter and producer Aidy Smith and award-winning production company Electric Robin (Banijay UK).
Under the deal, Smith and Electric Robin will co-develop a slate of branded and non-branded entertainment formats, with Smith also serving as Executive Producer. The collaboration will focus on innovative storytelling and strong brand integration.
Aidy Smith is an award-winning presenter, producer and journalist, recognised for his work across food and drink, mixology, travel, LGBTQ+ representation and neurodivergence. He co-created and presents The Three Drinkers on Amazon Prime, contributes to The Independent and BBC Radio London, and serves as Global Ambassador for the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme and the Tourette Association. As the only global TV presenter with Tourette Syndrome, and through his experiences with ADHD and dyslexia, he is a leading advocate for neurodivergent communities.
Carlotta Rossi Spencer, Global Head of Branded Entertainment Business Development at Banijay Entertainment, said: “Aidy’s creative vision and deep understanding of audience engagement, combined with Electric Robin’s production expertise, make this a powerful partnership poised to deliver standout formats.”
Ross Brandon, Co-Founder of Electric Robin, added: “Aidy’s industry knowledge and inclusive storytelling open the door to exciting collaborations with major brands and partners seeking authentic engagement.”
Aidy Smith commented: “This partnership is a meaningful step for neurodivergent representation on and off screen. Working with Electric Robin and Banijay Entertainment, long-standing champions of underrepresented voices, I’m excited for what we’ll achieve together. For anyone told that TV wasn’t for them because of their neurodivergence or disability—this is proof that we belong here, and that we can lead.”
BBE supports Banijay Entertainment teams worldwide in creating branded content. Electric Robin’s recent successes include Dare To Defy (Nissan/Prime Video), The World Cook (TUI/Prime Video), and Jeremy Pang’s Hong Kong Kitchen (Hong Kong Tourism Board/ITV).
