The fifth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria opens today in Madrid, bringing together over 2,300 accredited professionals from 50 countries and 1,300 companies—30% more than last year.
The event kicks off with screenings, keynotes, and panels focused on innovation and financing, featuring more than 130 activities: 20 exclusive premieres, 60 high-level sessions, and 130 project pitches.
Speakers at the opening included Enrique Cerezo (EGEDA, Platino Industria), Raúl Berdonés (Fundación Secuoya), Ignacio Rey (FIPCA), and representatives from the Madrid government.
Top actors such as Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Luisana Lopilato, Jaime Lorente, Pedro Alonso, and Eugenio Derbez are attending, alongside leading showrunners and creators like John Altschuler, Daniel Burman, Francisca Alegría, José Ignacio “Chascas” Valenzuela, and Marina Pérez.
Nearly half of the accredited professionals come from outside Spain, with strong representation from Mexico, Argentina, the U.S., Colombia, Chile, Brazil, South Korea, Italy, and more.
The market area, MAI and Plaza Matadero, hosts over 30 exhibitors, while 160+ international buyers will engage in co-production, financing, and networking sessions.
