From September 16, Rai 2 introduces its new primetime entertainment show Freeze – Chi sta fermo vince!, airing every Tuesday evening for six weeks from the Auditorium of the Rai Production Center in Naples.

Hosted by Nicola Savino alongside Rocío Muñoz Morales, the show is produced by Rai Entertainment Prime Time in collaboration with Fremantle. Freeze is the Italian adaptation of the Japanese format created by the same team behind LOL – Last One Laughing.

The concept is simple yet unpredictable: eight celebrities are locked in a room and must remain completely still whenever the host calls out “Freeze.” In the opening episode, Francesco Arienzo, Herbert Ballerina, Paola di Benedetto, Nathalie Guetta, Enzo Miccio, Francesco Paolantoni, Sabrina Salerno, and Ema Stokholma face off in a battle of nerves and resistance.

Contestants, split into two teams, are subjected to a series of challenges and unexpected provocations designed to test their composure. Any movement, smile, or reaction risks costing them points.

Their performance is judged by the “Grande Freezer,” composed of Mara Maionchi, comedian Ubaldo Pantani (with his signature impersonations), and guest commentator Alberto Rimedio, who rotates weekly with different personalities.

At the end of each round, the referees assign points, updating the ranking live with co-host Rocío Muñoz Morales. Only one team advances to the final showdown, where the top contestants battle each other for victory and the show’s ultimate prize: television’s iciest trophy.
