In celebration of The Smurfs - The Movie by Paramount Animation, Airbnb is launching a unique experience that brings the magic of the Smurfs to life. On August 3, 2025, two lucky families will have the chance to step into the enchanting woods of Belgium — the birthplace of the iconic blue characters — and live like real Smurfs for a day.
The experience, hosted by Nicolas Tytgat, grandson of Peyo (the legendary creator of the Smurfs), and co-hosted by Papa Smurf himself, will take place inside a life-sized mushroom-shaped house inspired by the Smurf Village. Over the course of four hours, guests will immerse themselves in a series of playful and creative activities inspired by the new film. Families will start by customizing their own Smurf hats and sampling the exclusive Smurfberry drink, a delicious purple juice that fuels the Smurfs’ adventures. They’ll then explore the surrounding forest with archery lessons, enjoy a Smurf-themed picnic (complete with Smurfette’s favorite fries), and learn the viral dance featured in the movie, guided by a choreographer “trained by the Smurfs.” The day will wrap up with Smurfberry ice cream and a fond farewell from the hosts.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the natural beauty of Belgium and reconnect families with nature through an unforgettable experience,” said Clement Eulry, General Manager for France and Benelux at Airbnb. “We’re excited to see guests step into the whimsical world created by Peyo.”
Bookings open on July 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM CEST on airbnb.com/smurfsmovie, with the experience available for free for families of up to four people (travel not included). Places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Smurfs - The Movie will hit cinemas worldwide in July 2025, arriving in Italy on August 27, 2025.
