Disney+ is ramping up its reality offering with three new unscripted originals. Leading the slate is the return of iconic dating show Blind Date, reimagined with fresh twists and a summer-long relationship challenge. Produced by Stellify Media and SO TV, the series is set to captivate a new generation.
The new series will begin in a secret “Blind Date” location, where contestants must choose between three potential suitors, hidden from view behind the legendary “Blind Date” wall, the only thing standing between them and their potential true love just metres away. With a host of unique, innovative and head-turning format twists, our daters will see if forever love can truly grow as they spend the summer living together but potential new partners are always lurking behind the wall...
The Original series (10x45’) is executive produced by Matthew Worthy & Kieran Doherty for Stellify Media (a Sony Pictures Television-backed company) and Graham Stuart for SO TV (part of ITV Studios). The series was commissioned and is executive produced by Sean Doyle, Executive Director, Unscripted for Disney+.
Also on the way is The Rooneys (w/t), a ten-part docuseries offering exclusive access to Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s family life as they embrace new beginnings. Produced by Lorton Entertainment and Blast Films, the series will follow Coleen’s entrepreneurial ventures and Wayne’s post-football chapter.
Rounding out the slate is Jamie and Sophie: Raising Chelsea (w/t), featuring Made in Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo as they prepare for parenthood, blending heartfelt moments with their signature humour. The series is produced by Dorothy St Pictures and Jampot Productions.
